Robert DePaola went peacefully to Heaven on May 18, 2025, surrounded by his wife of 50 years, Rita, and his children. He will be forever cherished and remembered also by his 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, as well as his 3 siblings and many nieces and nephews.

Bob graduated from Garden Grove High School in 1963. He studied Mechanical Engineering at Cal-State Fullerton, until joining the Anaheim Police Department in September 1977. Bob served the Anaheim Community in several divisions until retiring after 28 years of service, in 2002.

Our Dad always made sure family came first. He loved to build things, such as doll-houses and general stores for us girls. He also had a passion for re-modeling the homes we lived in, making them go from houses to homes to mansions.

His hobbies consisted of rebuilding Classic Cars and collecting all kinds of trains. Dad was an active member of the Knight’s of Columbus, where he was a 4th Degree Knight. He was involved in several Classic Car Clubs, and he was a Leader of the Boy Scouts of America Club, supporting Robert II.

Our Dad was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him.

His journey on this Earth was marked by Love, Compassion, and unwavering Faith in God.

Dad was proceeded in death by both of his parents, Peter and Nancy, his oldest brother, Sal, and his grandson, Scott.

We ask that you remember our Dad not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact he had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
