Roy proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was stationed in Long Beach, California. Following his military service, he built a career through determination and skill as the owner and operator of Stringer Tool Repair, where he was self-employed for many years and known for his reliability and craftsmanship.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anne Caryll Stringer, and by his son Paul Stringer.

Roy is survived by his daughter, Sandra Smith; grandchildren, Valerie Lasseter, Melony Smith, and Michael Smith; and by his great-grandchildren, Alina, Anne, Andrew, Maddux, Joseph, and Sophia, who carry forward his legacy.

Roy will be remembered for his strong work ethic, quiet dedication, and the love he held for his family. His life leaves a lasting imprint on all who knew him.
