    Abelardo V Lucero, 80, entered eternal life on Monday, August 28, 2023, at West Anaheim Medical Center. He was born on October 25, 1942 in Mesilla, New Mexico to Ernesto G Lucero and Juliana V Lucero. After retiring from Ling Electronics where he worked as a machinest for close to 30 years, Abelardo loved to spend time woodworking, enjoying time with his grandchildren, and spending time with his dog Molly. He enjoyed watching sports. Baseball, football, basketball, and even nascar. He always had on of his kids or even grandkids sitting with him on the couch enjoying sports with him.

    He was preceded in death by his parents Ernesto G Lucero and Juliana V Lucero

    His brothers: Ernesto Jr, Gilberto, Reynaldo, Rubén, Luz, Conrado, and Rodolfo Lucero.

    His sisters: Candelaria Ybarra, Katy Holguin, Dora Fierro, and Amina Rede.

    Survivors include: His wife Virginia Lucero from Anaheim

    His 3 sons: Ruben and wife Blanca from Anaheim, Gilbert and wife Denise from Mammoth, Abelardo Jr and Maggie from Corona

    His six daughters: Veronica Alvarado and husband Arturo from Anaheim, Sylvia Rojas from Anaheim Cynthia Lucero from Huntington Beach, Monica Lucero from Huntington Beach, Noemi Lucero and husband Calvin Roberts from Las Vegas, Marla Lucero and husband Arthur Robinson from Anaheim,

    Other survivors include his 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren

    Abelardo’s celebration of life will be held at Hilgenfeld Mortuary (120 E Broadway, Anaheim, CA 92805), on Sunday 24,2023 at 12:00 noon

    Reception will follow at Zion Lutheran Church (222 N East St, Anaheim, CA 92805)
