Ernestina Ramirez Sepulveda, devoted wife and loving mother gracefully entered eternal paradise and reunited with her beloved Gerald on April 26, 2021, at the age of 86. Ernestine was born on February 9th, 1935, in Placentia, California, to Jesus and Victoria Ramirez. She attended Valencia High School as a member of the class of 1953. She first met the love of her life, Gerald Sepulveda, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church while at CCD, and they married 7 years later, on June 19, 1955. They set up their first home in the community of Atwood, Placentia, and moved to Yorba Linda in 1984. Gerald and Ernestine were married for 65 years. She is, "An excellent wifeshe is far more precious than jewels. Proverbs 31:10. She dedicated her life to her family, caring for six children, twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Her vision for her family was the salvation of their eternal souls, which was to her any parent's greatest ambition. She cared for her parents, Gerald's parents, and Aunt Dora until they passed away. She loved her siblings dearly and welcomed cousins, nieces, and nephews, passing on her admiration, values, and faith to all. She was a lifelong friend to many, taking the children of lifelong friends as her godchildren and having these friends be godparents to her own. She will be remembered for her passionate devotion to Jesus Christ. She was a difference-maker in the St. Joseph's Catholic community. She cared for God's church, dedicating several years to fixing, cleaning, and teaching CCD at St. Teresita's Mission. While attending St Martins Church, she supported the La Guadalupanas. Ernestine sought opportunities to serve others and graciously gave back to her neighborhood. She was a long-time member of Placentia Unified School District PTA and received several volunteer awards. She was an advocate for the Hispanic residents at Placentia City Council meetings. She helped shape the lives of local girls by starting the Atwood Angels softball team and even helped build archival records as a member of the Yorba Linda Historical Society. But it was her beautiful heart and loving, motherly nature that won her the affection of everyone she met. Ernestine's family remembers her passionate cooking skills, love of the beach, travels in the motor home, and the fun they had at the cabin in Big Bear. Ernestina is survived by her six children and their spouses, Cindy and Mike Sacry, Jerry and Vicki Sepulveda, Larry and Pam Sepulveda, Julie Gibson, Terri and Steven Castanon, and Susie and Don Hayman.
