Riverside, CA 92518Margaret “Molly” Mary Wagner, age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Born on August 9, 1941, Molly lived a life rooted in faith, family, love, and service. A longtime resident of Laguna Woods, California, she spent her final year at Sharp Villa Coronado in Coronado, California, where her warmth, kindness, and steadfast spirit continued to bless all who knew her.
Molly was a woman of deep Catholic faith whose greatest joy was her family. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, always placing their needs above her own. Her faith guided her daily life and was the source of her strength, compassion, generosity, and grace—qualities that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is lovingly survived by her five children: Bill Wagner of Laguna Woods, California; Sheila (Tom) Beckendorf of Greenfield, Indiana; Debbie Wagner of Huntington Beach, California; Eddie (Maurice) Wagner of San Diego, California; and Chris (Shelby) Wagner of Irvine, California. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Thomas (Erica), James, Jack, Dean, and Zoey, and a cherished great grandmother to Regan and Tommy. Molly is also survived by her sister, Janice Carpenter of Buffalo, New York; her brother in law, Stephen Wagner; and her sisters in law, Stephanie Wagner and Peggy Fickett. She leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her love, wisdom, and friendship.
Molly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ed Wagner; her parents, James and Margaret Milne; her brother, James Milne and sister in law, Arlene; her parents in law, Stephen and Victoria Wagner; and her brothers in law, Robert Carpenter and Richard Wagner.
Those who knew Molly will forever remember her gentle heart, unwavering faith, and deep devotion to her family. She found joy in bringing loved ones together, offering encouragement, and creating lasting memories. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and in the family, she loved so deeply.
A Viewing and Rosary will be held at Hilgenfeld Mortuary in Anaheim, California, on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Molly’s life will take place at St. Nicholas Catholic Church on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., with a reception to follow.
Burial services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 10:45 a.m.
Molly’s family finds comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her beloved husband and embraced by the eternal peace of God. Her faith, love, and devotion will remain an enduring source of inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
