Maria R. Sandoval

Birth: May 3, 1931 | Died: December 6, 2021

Maria Cruz Sandoval was born in the great state of Jalisco, in Mexico. At a very young age, she lost her mother and was raised by her grandmother. In her teens she met the love of her life, Mario Sandoval. Together they had 8 children. Her husband, a mariachi player and the family moved up North to Baja California Norte. In time the family migrated to Southern California where she worked as a single mother to provide for her children and grandchildren

She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother that always displayed a character of humility, love, grace, and nobility. She was always welcoming and remained strong even after she had lost her son and began to experience the effects of dementia. She often talked about her childhood walking us through her life as a child and teen. She loved listening to her mariachi song, Delante de Mi, and often requested it when a mariachi was present. She was a joy and the pillar of our family!

She lived a long life, a life that is and always will be a prime example of a woman of great character. She was quick to forgive and slow to anger. She exhibited the characteristics that our almighty father asks us all to do. She will be missed greatly and loved forever.
