Matthew William Thorpe, 52, died unexpectedly on January 23, 2023. He was born November 8, 1970. Matt was a 20 year Navy vet and was proud to serve his country. He had a BS in business from Phoenix University. He loved watching wrestling, playing his guitars and his new banjo, listening to hard rock/metal bands, and being with his family. He could always make us laugh. He loved cooking his collard greens and we loved eating them. Matt was a much beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin. He is survived by his mother Linda Thorpe Thomas, sister Heather Mussaw (Joe), brother Ian Thomas ( Josie). As well as the children of his siblings: Rin Thormodsen ( Kurt), Brandon Sanders, and Juliet Thomas. Survived also by his aunts Binnie( Dan)Abbott, Beadie Wobbe, Pammie ( Rick) Eyerly and Cousins Kevin, Danielle, Kev Jr, and Dawn. He was predeceased by his loving grandparents, and neices Jillian Mussaw and Kim Abbott and his father David Thorpe. Matt will be very much missed by all family and friends. Viewing will be 4-7pm at Hilgenfeld Mortuary in Anaheim on Wednesday 2/15/23. Burial at 11am at Riverside National ( veterans) Cemetery on Thursday 2/16/23 with full military honors. All are welcome to pay respects; he would have appreciated it very much.
