Vincenza Abbate at the age of 69, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 6:11am at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Anaheim, CA. She was born on September 22, 1956, in Casteldaccia, Sicily in Italy to Francesco Pinello and Giuseppa Calo.
Vincenza Abbate did all her schooling and lived in Italy until she met her husband Pietro Abbate and was married in June of 1978. After marriage, Vincenza and Pietro Abbate moved to the United States and momentarily lived in New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Illinois, until finally settling in California. They started their lives in Van Nuys, California from 1979 until 1981. They had their first son Giuseppe Abbate who was born in Van Nuys, CA on December 24, 1979. In 1981, they moved to South Gate, California and had their second son Francesco Abbate. Francesco Abbate was born at Downey Community Hospital in Downey, CA on March 22, 1981. Vincenza and Pietro Abbate lived in South Gate, CA until 1994 when they purchased their first dream home in Yorba Linda, CA. They have resided in Yorba Linda, CA ever since.
Vincenza Abbate worked with aerospace teams from the early 80’s until her retirement in 2015. She was passionate about her work and worked with teams in the aerospace industry.
Vincenza Abbate truly loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed being outside for walks, gardening, and visiting museums and botanical gardens. Vincenza’s daily routine consisted of daily walks in the neighborhood with friends. She also enjoyed taking care of all her beautiful plants and flowers in the garden. One of her greatest joys was becoming a Nonna to her grandson Liam Abbate. Spending time with her grandson was something that always put a smile on her face. Vincenza was a devoted mother, Nonna, wife, and friend to those she loved and will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her husband, Pietro Abbate, her two sons, Giuseppe and Francesco Abbate, brother, Salvatore Pinello, sisters, Domenica Pinello and Franca Pinello, daughter-in-law Michelle Ross Abbate, grandson, Liam Abbate, step-grandchildren, Andrea Wood and Bailey Tucker and many nephews and nieces who she adored."*" indicates required fields
