    John Marco, 89, of Anaheim California, passed away on Saturday May 16, 2026. He was born in California on May 15, 1937 the youngest of 3 children. He graduated from Anaheim High School in 1955. He was drafted into the US Army in 1960. He was stationed in Germany for 2 years. It was during this time he was inspired by his European travels to decorate his house which he bought in 1972. He was in the US Army reserves from 1962-1966. He worked at Disneyland for over 10 years. He was the Riverboat captain in Adventure Land. He then became the house manager of the Golden Horseshoe. He then started his own company in Orange called Marco Headers. He loved making cars go fast! Then in 1977 he saw Star Wars and his life was changed forever. He then started another company making science fiction replica props. He made a replica remote control R2-D2, C-3PO. He had a mail order business till present day. He has touched the lives of many people over the years with his passion for science fiction. He was a devoted Catholic and member of Saint Anthony Claret Church since the late 1950’s. He took over his uncle’s ministry as sacristan for over 50 years. Even though he never married, he loved children and would pray every Saturday at the abortion clinics. He did that for over 40 years. He was a favorite neighbor with the families around him as he would let them swim in his pool, dance to the jukebox, and play the drums, ping pong, and look at the stars with his telescope. He even made Star Wars costumes for them to wear to conventions, school open houses, business openings, and movie theaters. He was predeceased in death by his parents and 3 sisters. He is survived by his 2 nieces and multiple great nieces and nephews.
