It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linh Wong, a remarkable woman whose love, laughter, and vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Linh departed this world on November 16, 2023.

Born April 10, 1948, Linh embarked on a journey that exemplified resilience, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to her loved ones. At the age of 18, she began a lifelong partnership with her treasured husband, Joe Wong. Together, they built a life rooted in love and shared dreams. Linh and Joe fled the turmoil in Vietnam in 1980 with their three young children, leaving behind all that they knew and everything they had in the world. They persevered through a harrowing journey and eventually arrived in America with very few resources beyond the love for one another. Facing difficulties that are hard to fathom, they began working day and night to provide a better life for their family. Through hard work, sheer will and determination, they truly achieved the American Dream.

In her youth, Linh taught herself accounting skills and, utilizing dedication and an aptitude for hard work, rose to the position of Hotel Accountant. These attributes served her and her family well as she and Joe started, owned and operated several restaurants, tirelessly working long hours to provide for their family. After her children established loving families of their own, Linh retired and embarked on a new phase in life, taking up new hobbies that brought her new experiences and connections. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She loved taking daily walks with Joe and talking about their day, reminiscing about the past, and planning for the future. She also started taking Line Dance and Choir classes, through which she gained many new friends that filled her days with even more fun and joy.

Linh had a zest for life that was contagious. She found immense joy in traveling and experiencing new adventures. She parasailed in her sixties and did indoor skydiving and kayaking in her seventies. She recently returned from a two-month long vacation with her husband that spanned 4 countries, visiting numerous new and beautiful locations that filled her with joy. Most of all, Linh loved to gather with family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren. She was a selfless nurturer, who always prioritized the needs of those around her. Her laughter was infectious, and her youthful spirit endeared her to all. Her smile lit up every room and she exuded natural beauty, inside and out.

Family was the cornerstone of Linh's existence. She is survived by her devoted husband, Joe Wong, and her three cherished children and their spouses, Lisa Wong & Kenneth Kwok, Andy Wong & Heidy Chow and Laura Wong & James Hultz. Her legacy extends to four adoring grandchildren, Karene Kwok, Konnor Kwok, Justin Hultz and Alexander Hultz.

May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love that she so freely gave during her extraordinary life. She will live forever in our hearts.
